Dr Leatt stops his son from riding starts working on a solution to reduce neck injuries.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2004</h3> <p class="lg">Dr Leatt sells the first Leatt&reg; neck brace in South Africa.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2005</h3> <p class="lg">Leatt&reg; Company established.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2006</h3> <p class="lg">BMW and Leatt develop a new test method for measuring neck forces on an unrestrained torso. Existing test methods at that time was for restrained torsos (car seat with belts).</p> <p class="lg">First neck braces sold in the USA.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2007</h3> <p class="lg">The Leatt&reg; neck brace on the cover of Racer X magazine and is awarded Product of the Year; Paralysed US Motocross 2007 Champion David Bailey releases a video encouraging the use of the Leatt&reg; neck braces for all riders. Demand for the product spikes.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2008</h3> <p class="lg">World renowned Leatt&reg; Lab founded.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2009</h3> <p class="lg">Leatt&reg; Neck Brace received 5 awards from various global Moto and MTB print and digital media publications.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2010</h3> <p class="lg">Leatt&reg; chest protection range and first MTB specific neck brace is introduced.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2011</h3> <p class="lg">Body protection range and the first Leatt&reg; Moto Jackets are released.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2012</h3> <p class="lg">Using 3DF impact foam, Leatt introduces the first soft-shell body protector and a range of elbow and knee guards.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2013</h3> <p class="lg">Leatt&reg; reveals the Fusion 2.0 Junior, a product that offers upper-body and next protection all in one specifically for children. Body protect range increases.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2014</h3> <p class="lg">The company releases the C-Frame Knee Brace designed for use on off-road motorbikes, also the all new 6.5 and 5.5 neck braces are introduced.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2015</h3> <p class="lg">Leatt&reg; introduces their first Moto and MTB helmets along with CE impact tested gloves using impact gel.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2016</h3> <p class="lg">Leatt&reg; broadens their apparel line with the addition of full riding gear for Moto and MTB.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2017</h3> <p class="lg">The X-Frame knee brace and all new 3.5 Neck Braces are introduced.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2018</h3> <p class="lg">Leatt&reg; enters the goggle market with the revolutionary Bulletproof Velocity goggle range.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2019</h3> <p class="lg">Leatt&reg;becomes a Moto head to toe brand as the long awaited Leatt&reg; 5.5 FlexLock boot is introduced following 3 years of development.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2020</h3> <p class="lg">A range of flat and clipless shoes are released specifically for use in MTB meaning bicycle is now also head to toe.</p> </div> <div> <h3 class="h lg brand-red">2021</h3> <p class="lg">The 2nd generation of Moto and MTB full face helmets are revealed using Leatt&reg;&rsquo;s industry leading 360 Turbine Technology.</p> </div> </div>
